Hire an attorney that specializes in evictions as opposed to a jack-of-all-trades attorney.

Thank you. That seems to be advice I've been getting. Will do.

Hey Elizabeth, yep... not really hard to do.

While I can't speak for Indiana I can tell you in Michigan it's not all that complex. Hire an attorney (usually about $300) to take it from start to finish.

Then, if it gets to that point, you may need a bailiff to come out with a dumpster and throw everything out. This could be another $1,000 - $1,500.

This is helpful! Thank you so much for your reply. I'll be reaching out to an attorney soon

Yes, I highly recommend you get an attorney to make sure notices are sent properly and court is filed correctly etc.  No idea of cost for the state or how long it will take in Indiana.  In Delaware the process takes about 3 months start to finish (or more) so the sooner you get started the better.

Thank you for your reply. I will get on it asap.

Hello,

I manage the rentals myself because our manager recently resigned. I need to evict someone in Indiana and I live in California.  What is the process. Do I have to hire an attorney for this and how much will it cost? Thank you for your help!

I was going to say Goosehead as well. They are a brokerage so can look at a lot of companies and see the best fit for you. They saved me about $2000 a year over 6 properties.  Rates are up across the board though, this year, a new property is costing me about $120 a month in insurance where other similar properties I have are only $80 a month.  (My rep is Ted King - he is based in Carmel, IN)

I ended up getting Steadily but if I need another one, I will reach out to your guy. Thank you!

Goosehead.com ([email protected]) is an insurance broker that I have used. I know insurance has gone up a great amount over the last year. For me personally, it has been roughly a 30% increase. This was after I shopped around.

Roger

Thank you. I will inquire.

I need a reasonable landlord's insurance in Indiana. I have a rental property in Kokomo, IN. What is the best insurance without breaking your bank?

Thank you!

Furnished Finder is a popular site for mid-term renters.  You can see what is available in your area and look at the price and amenities.

 Thank you!

Quote from @Ned Carey:
Absolutely not.

You can buy it in your name and then transfer the property to the LLC.  Then after transferring it to the LLC finance it as owned by the LLC

You can’t finance it in the LLC if the LLC does not own the property.

 Thank you for the clarification.
