You didn't say which county you purchased your certificates.  If not Marion, mostly likely, the sale was held by SRI. Go to their website and download their handbook. Look specifically for the county. They are usual pretty good at giving you handouts at the sale on what you need to do. But, and this is important, you'll need a lawyer to send post sale statutory notices. You got like maybe 60 days to do this. And then send them again towards the end of the redemption period. Fail to do this and you lose your money. You lawyer will also enter his fee on a 137b so if cert is redeemed you get reimbursed + 5%. The county has maximums that they'll reimburse for lawyer and title work. I've paid between $450- $650 for lawyer and between $250-$450 for title. They'll charge you the maximum, of course. They won't charge more if not redeemed to file for deed.

If you bought in Marion County, then ignore everything I just wrote. Like what was said, sit back and wait.

Look at the county's website and see if all this information isnt there.

Are you asking how to buy liens in the states or in Australia?

If they cover all liability and taxes you better call them back right away.

I'm sure this would be state specific, but in my state you own all property on the lot so you would own only the portion of the house on your land. Now, entering that house would be a problem and getting clear title would be a problem. So the only person you could sell it to would be the homeowner who couldn't pay his taxes, I would think.

@Rita Koroll  Are you asking about Indiana liens (original topic)?  I could help here but unfortunately they are going on now and you will have to wait a year before the next ones. If you are interested in Florida sales there is plenty of people doing those on BP. States are different and so are the strategies.

All money is good money.

Here's my opinion on Dustin. I don't think they are scammers by any means. Like most guruish programs there is a lot of motivational stuff and prompting to action. I believe it is cheaper to read all of the Robert Kiyosaki Rich Dad books for that. If you are ready to go and have $5000 that you can easily afford AND you are interested in Philadelphia or Houston deeds, you could learn something. His cheaper stuff is worth it for basic stuff life tax sale dates and some forms. But it is mostly trying to get you invest in many states. Telling you you can have financial freedom by doing this. I do know of one guy that does this and does very well. But here's the thing about tax sales. Every state is so very much different with every county with slight differences. It is not possible for anyone to teach you all areas and the how-tos of each. You have to learn that yourself by reading the county website. In my opinion, one should start in his own area, if possible. Like Florida, in your case. Even with all that online bullcrap, I think you could find a mentor of this site to help you and learn more for less.

Dustin's cleaned up a bit but I used to say that if this stoner could do it, so could I (I know, I shouldn't have said that).   And I did with tax liens but not so much with deeds.

This is not a recommendation or advice, just letting you know about this. The guy that used to take people on their Houston quit Dustin and now has a facebook page, Tax Liens & Deeds and Beyond. He is organizing a trip to Houston for free to train people. The teachings free, you have to pay for airfare and hotel, I'm assuming.

Hope that may have been worth two cents.

I can't answer your question about the cops but have you looked at the mailbox to see if it's full?  Driven by at night to see if the lights are on?

If you are simply looking for the tax sales lists, SRI does most of them in Indiana.   The sales started in September but maybe your sale hasn't happened yet.

Select your county and the lists will be there if it hasn't passed yet.

They didn't discuss tax liens at all in the one I went to.
