Dion,

Thanks for the reply. I think you are correct and that needs to be my next step as I have a copy of the abstract. I kind of forgot I still have to make a trip to the courthouse.

Whats the best way to match debtors from abstract of judgments to their home ownership? Using the white pages doesn't work that well, but I'm sure one of you has a good way of doing it.

I'm interested in working judgements in California but when I was using public records to find them I thought of something. I was looking at the Abstract of Judgement when I realized that the Abstract would show up as a cloud on the title of someone selling a property so why should they sell to me when they will get paid off to clear title? Could someone shed a little light on this and possibly tell me a better way to use public records to find judgements or liens? Any info or places to go to find answers would be appreciated.

Thanks for the info. I checked out Ken Rishel and it appears he does a different thing and I'm a member of Dave's web site. Still looking.

I'm trying to find sources to buy small 2nds for myself. I've checked into all the ones I found in here but they are mostly 1sts, upside down or are high priced. If anyone has some for sale or can tell me where to find them I would appreciate it.

You are right in that I really don't need the trustee. What would be the document title to find the trustor and beneficiary? Thanks for the info on the other services.

K. Marie Poe,

The 2 individuals I was referring to would be the trustor and trustee. Is there any way of telling what position a TD might be in from public records. Do you have any names of good data subscription services? Thanks for your help.
