Hi I'm looking to withdraw funds from a past employer retirement plan using the homebuyer exception. Any recommendations for CPAs that are familiar with this process? Recommendations, advice and suggestions are appreciated.

Hi everyone

I am looking to get into the real estate business in DFW by hacking my first property using an FHA loan (most likely 3.5% down payment and ~3.8% interest rate). I ran across a property but want to get everyone's opinion since i'm fairly new at doing the calculations. Please take a look and let me know whether it is worth my time or not (considering I will be living in one side and renting out the other and managing myself)

Listing Price: 250K

Property: Full duplex with 2br/2bath on each side renting for about $1150 and $1050. Really good shape with none-minor repairs needed. Good fairly neighborhood with few multi-family properties (28%)

Annual Taxes: 3K

Insurance: ~100/month

HOA fee: 600/year

Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Great question. I am wondering the exact same thing. Looking to house hack in Fort Worth/DFW in the next few months. Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

so I have a friend/potential partner that ran across a property that is identified as an adult community. It seems the community is for active adult 55 years of age and older. The property consists of resort style amenities, plenty of activities, and an open floorplan. Definitely seem like a prime location and property for active retirees. Would a property like this be a good investment to wholesale even though it's targeted towards a specific buyer/group?

@Andrew Postell

Thanks so much. You're awesome. I've signed up for the DFW REI group but will look into the others as well.

Hi

I am a new investor looking to purchase (fairly soon) a multi-family property in the DFW area. Are there any recommendations on investor friendly realtors in the area?
