 Looks like the yellow ones are McChicken sandwiches. The white ones are definatly double cheese burgers. This thread makes me want to stop eating at mcdonalds. For what this guy spent on garbage he could have paid off the house. Im glad you guys are stepping in to alleviate it.

 Thank you very much Stephen. Your story is inspiring. I have been steadily pressing at it. Despite going though a mountain of setbacks designed to tear an individual apart I am still pushing forward. I have been aggressively learning as much as I can. I have managed to get ahold of some money so I may end up doing my first deal soon.

I wont go into detail but I've been working on my negotiating skills. Donald Trump's quote comes to mind. "he who has the gold controls the deal". One particular sign might be getting a second phone call.

If I do anything at all I need to start networking new people. Im too boring for my mainstream friends. They can keep playing video games on the couch just as they were 8 years ago. They would make good renters.

Since I cant edit my post. Ill redo the math again. Judging by your pic, you have a split type driveway.

If we were going to the garage on the left where the trash can is, ill guess thats 50' long x 12' wide. Lets say you want to add 4" of stone.

50x12=600 sq ft

9 square feet to the square yard.

600/9=67 sq yards if rounding up.

67x500=33500 if 1" deep

33500x4=134,000.

4" deep = 134,000lbs divide by 2000.

67 tons for the driveway on the left.

If i were you i'd get a bobcat and grub off the plant material and get rid of it. The base should be fine, as long as it is solid. Your typical driveway stone is #53's. Particularly with the dust in it they call it 53 "o's". (Non washed 53's). 

To figure stone, a square yard 1" deep is 500lbs. So if you figure your area and convert to yards, multiply by 500 and divide by 2000 will give you tonnage also.

If you're needing a base you can use a geo textile if you do not want to buy #2 stone (big rock, 2 to 3"). Since there is already a driveway there, you shouldnt need a base.

Regardless of what you do, strip that organic matter off first, otherwise you'll have a mess in wet weather.

You need to learn how to carry yourself, which most dont know how to do. There are some tips to fallow for this.

When greeting other guys, look them in the eye, shake hands correctly, and squeeze hard. Let them know where you're at, and you're not a little sissy.

Dont worry about age. I'm 26, and ive gotten used to the fact that if i know anything at all around some of my peers, i know too much and get labled a "know it all". Just roll with it, present yourself as having an open mind, but dont dumb yourself down to keep from offending someone. You know what you know?

In this buisness the age old saying still applies, "money talks and bs walks". People dont care how old you are, when you throw the green down on the table for them, they know you are not kidding. If you want to talk all day, nobody is going to have time for you.

Lets say a building lot is in Zone AE, and it is 2' below the flood level.

If you got a loan to build a house on stilts, similar to the way they build them in the south for storm surge during hurricane season. Could you get away with not paying flood insurance if the livable space was elevated 5 or 12' off the ground? Well above the flood zone.

Not to mention if you had agriculteral zoning your taxes would be dirt cheap. Much better than a residential rate.

You can lease the land to the farmers and eliminate your expense. Its sad that alot of farmers, especially when 3 or 4 ran an entire township years back and had weight carried with their names, get pushed down to wanting to rent land more than own it. There is a market out there for it.

Not to hijack your thread but this got me thinking. If you was to build a garage at the far end of your car port, obviously that would be taxed. What if you built a car port anchored to 4x4 posts cemented into the ground to cover up next to and infront of your garage? would that be considered a taxable space?

if you dont get anywhere, you can see if you can buy the lien, then take the gamble on if you can finish the foreclosure process.
