What to do with ugly fiberglass carport cover?

You know the kind I'm talking about- 1960's metal frame with the yellowed corrugated translucent stuff on top.
Mine is BIG, runs the entire side of the house (12' wide by 36' long) and the fiberglass sheeting is perished, so something must be done. This is my own house, not a flip, but I'm sure many of you flippers have had to deal with this so I'm looking to you for any advice.
I have no garage, so I don't want to just remove it. My simplest option is to just redo the sheeting, obviously. If I do that should I go with polycarbonate?
Is there some sort of more attractive material that you know of? I do like the fact that this is currently translucent, since it covers the entire south side of the house. If I were to do a solid material it would really darken the inside.....
any pointers for me?
