@William Allen hire the inspector, they are going to find faults, errors and omissions just because the builder is human. Then get it fixed. (My brother is a builder in Pensacola, he wouldn't like it, but he would agree) I recently had a custom home built in another state in the $600k range and there was no wiring run for the jacuzzi!

@Karl Smith @Anson Young I've done some private lending and I think Anson has laid it out best. Additionally, if you lack experience but have a good deal, you may be able to get in the door with a JV agreement for the funds. Persevere!
