Who is your target audience?

Are using the blog as a lead source to drive traffic to your website and capture motivated seller leads?

Or are you writing a blog to establish yourself as an authority in a certain niche or market?

Once you figure our what your goals are and who your target audience is, you should create a content strategy that will target keywords that specific audience is looking for on Google.

 This is amazing advice, you make a solid point. I think my goal with blogging in this instance was to keep track of the steps I've taken in the order I've taken them. Perhaps a little step-by-step to be traced.

I like that each of those blog types has a different content strategy and that our whole job is sales and promotions.

Thank you.

@Jerryll Noorden

Thank you for the advice.

I just posted over in the blog forum and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with some referrals for web hosts and site designers.

Do you have any suggestions? Would you be willing to jump on skype with me sometime and have a chat about the marketing side?

Thanks,

Hey BP,

This is a question for all the newbies like me floating around. How does one go about starting a blog?

How do you choose topics to write about? Do I just start it off and work my way through?

For example, I am currently writing my business plan (it is probably 6 pages long) and I have hit stumbling blocks and really dug into the nuances. Do I simply share my learning of those nuances in one place for the next person to read and follow?

Can anyone help me with referrals of site hosts they use, or even of people they have contacted that do website building at reasonable prices.

Thanks in advance,

Thank you all,

I think I have the answer I seek. With limited budget, door knocking can work especially if I use a driving for dollars methodology.

If I do my research and follow up on my potential leads, I will have an opportunity to make deals from those leads.

Thank you for the response, I am currently attempting to work in Canada with Canadian investors in my local area. The issue I'm facing is how to make a OM that fulfills legal reqs.

Do you invest in the US or Canada?

@Sam Teifke

Thank you for your advice, I'm seriously considering it. Especially on nights and weekends.

@Jay Hinrichs

That sounds like a brilliant plan. You could hit every neighborhood in the city with that.

How did the printing press set up work? Specialized machinery?

Do you think it would be possible to use a vender like VISTA print or a print shop of some kind to print them at a reasonable price? Would that be worth it?

The issue I face is that I only have about 250/mth that I could dedicate to advertising right now with my job and current financial situation. I'm closing on a house in June and want to maintain my reserve funds account.

Thank you for your advice and I will be chronicling my progress in a blog post as I go through it. I hope to be able to pay forward my experience.

Happy hunting. :)

Hey BP,

I wanted to learn more about the marketing and searching of off market deals. My thought is to print a bunch of those door hangers and go through my desired neighborhood and door knock with a clipboard.

Has anyone tried this? Would it work?

I also would have business cards that I can hand out to potential sellers but it has my cellphone number on it (these are being re-purposed) and I was wondering if BP had thoughts on it.

Thank you all,

@Brandon Turner

Hey BP, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a good entry level economy microphone to start doing interviews with partners where I won't have to wear a headset and I will sound crisp, clear and professional.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

@Bevla Reeves

You're welcome. I mostly use the calculators and they are most of why I paid for pro. The marketplace can be a great resource and I know that I can reach potential partners through BP.

I am certain that being able to post in the markets for contracting would get me some clients but it's not an avenue I've gone down yet. I am still working full time, when I open my own business I'm sure it will come in handy.

@Bevla Reeves

I upgraded to the pro membership within my first 24 hours on site. It can be really amazing to be able to run your own deal analysis and be able to talk to your investors as an investor.

I have had great success with the Calculators and think that the upgrade was worthwhile. I also appreciate the fact that they offer regular 20% discounts with webinars and have the added bonus that you lock in your price for life. The sooner you get it, the less it will cost for life. :)

These are my opinions and BP didn't pay me to say any of that.

I hope I helped a little with your trouble,
