Look at Meetup.Com and search for Hobby Millionaire Charlotte.  Meets 3 times each week.  Buyers Symposium on Sunday Noon 1/14/17 - register on meetup

I recommend you look at Eric Little, a CPA in Charlotte.  He has spoken at the Hobby Millionaire meeting a few months ago.  Most important - he understands real estate as he is a real estate investor himself.  He saved me thousands in taxes with his recommendations.  If you contact him please tell him I referred you.

I recommend you work with a local real estate attorney to ensure that your contracts are legally correct for North Carolina.

@Brian Miller  - if you are doing a lot of purchases it might make sense.  My first year as an agent cost me about $2500 and then about $ 1100 per year ( plus agency fees).  If you use an agent who works with investors they can help you with the contracts and negotiating help.  The documentation needed in NC is significant for an agent.
