@Sid Payne - I’m researching STRs near Disney and have seen your name pop up a few times. I’m really curious what the current regulatory environment is in that area. Also, in general what is a good estimate for occupancy and if you self-manage or use local mgmt.

Looking mostly at SFHs with 4+ bedrooms and a pool.

@Todd Powell - I’ve had really good luck with Cozy. Easy to use for tenants and landlord, no cost and direct deposits right into your account! Highly recommend.

Hi All! At one of my duplexes there is a tree that has become quite overgrown and a good % of the branches cross into the neighbor’s property and onto their garage. My property management company has had two different arborists tell them that the neighbor is actually responsible for cutting back the branches that extend into their property. They, however, claim I am legally responsible since the trunk is on my property.

Anyone have this come up before, specifically in Minnesota? If so, what is accurate?!

I just had an offer accepted for my first “commercial property,” a 5-plex. My other rentals are duplexes and SFRs, so they’re just under my personal name with an expanded umbrella policy. If I develop an LLC in Minnesota where I reside, but the 5-plex is in Wisconsin, does this present any potential legal issues? I know it doesn’t matter for taxes, but I’m more concerned about legal protection. And for that matter, is that much more important to do the LLC for the MFR, or is the protection the same whether it’s in LLC or personal? Thanks in advance! Craig
