Welcome @Benjamin Christensen. I highly recommend getting keyword alerts set up. I have many set up regarding things that I am interested in learning more about. It's a good idea to have Boise and Idaho as keywords so anytime someone posts something you will have an opportunity to join the conversation. You will get notified that way when Jonna sets up the next one.  This site is so valuable in so many ways. See you around the forums!

Welcome @Ian Brown .

I was in a similar situation recently and have decided to play it safe by taking the J.O.B. I had been working for extended periods of time in Alaska's oil industry and had been traveling back and forth from home to the Arctic. That had made it difficult to get my investing started, it was alway start, stop, start, stop etc. It has made much more sense to take a job from home in order to spend more time on REI and still have the cushion from the J.O.B to pay my bills. I guess it could depend on how much of a reserve you have for your monthly expenses and your personal level of comfort. One thing to keep in mind is having a job will help you get approved for a loan much easier for your investment properties.

I have learned that is is much better having a physical address for you business. One of the benefits of having a physical address is that Google and Bing will recognize your business much better in search results. If you don't have a physical address for your business you can use your personal residence or a rental property. Be sure to have the new business address consistent over all the different platforms your business is linked to. I have heard you can use the actual physical post office address, but in order for Google and Bing to verify you business, they will send you a confirmation code in the mail to the address you use. You then enter that code online to verify your business. I wasn't sure exactly how I could make that happen, so I just used my personal address.

Hi @William Allen, which phone service did you go with and how has it worked so far? Do you have a CRM set up yet? Did you go with Podio?

Although there are so may perks for being a Pro Member, I decided to upgrade mainly because of the enormous value Josh and Brandon provide with their podcast. I have gained such an education listening to the show. I have also recently created my own website with the help of Danny Johnson's investor websites at Lead Propeller and saved some money by being Pro. I'm a huge fan of the calculators too!

Welcome Tony! Be sure to get really familiar with the BiggerPockets rental, flip, and wholesaling calculators. They are invaluable in order to learn how the numbers work and will potentially keep you from making a bad decision. Make sure that if the numbers don't work you have the ability to walk away.  You will hear people say that if you try to make a deal out of a non deal, your problem is not having enough leads.  Learn as much as you can about marketing, take action and you'll do great.

Welcome to BiggerPockets @Tim Perry . Be sure to attend the local REI meetups, it's an excellent way to meet others in the area that are doing deals. It is also a great way to learn and get some questions answered.

Enjoy

@Kirky Galt, Can you please explain what is limited with GV that comes with a Vumber? I have just created my google voice account and considered Vumber, but I couldn't distinguish the difference between the two. I have just created a Podio account as well and am looking to track my leads through that site. Do you have experience with Podio?

Thanks, Cody

Welcome to the site @Clayton Clark

I have read Brandon Turner's book investing in real estate with no and low money down and found it to be an excellent resource. You can find it here on the site and download it instantly.
