Sketch up is a free program from Google. It will work for 90% of what you need. I was a cadd user for years, but it's too expensive for a basic user.

There's Kreia last Thursday of the month and Brett K. Has a meetup 3rd Thursday. Both are organized through the app meetup. There is a 3rd one held on Saturday this weekend.
