The discounts required to make the property profitable. Basically what demographic is open to selling below market value.

I am preparing to start marketing, can anyone advise what demographic is most susceptible to the kinds of discounts we need to find? I have a limited marketing budget and want to make sure I am getting the most bang for the buck.

Thank you,
Charlie

Thanks Larry. I live in Ca like you. So I'm guessing they have it. I'll do some research though. Thank you.

I am a General contractor and as such I would love to find a property that has significant damage and code compliance issues. I feel this is where my value would shine. I am thinking homes that have been abandoned, vandalized, or been victim to a fire. Can anyone give any advice on the best way to find such houses?

Larry, can you go into a little more information of how that would be done? I also like the idea of scary homes. I have been thinking of trying to find out how to buy fire damaged homes, just because I feel there may be a little less competition .

Thank you Sharon, I appreciate all your advice. I have never been one to read blogs, I prefer the conversation style information like these threads, but I will try to make a point to reading a couple.

Charlie.

Hi Rodney, I can relate to your situation. It is not easy being new in this business. Not only have we not learned what we don't know, but we also don't have the cash to get started. I figure if we keep talking to people, reading, and networking it will all work out in the end. I hope we both get that first deal done sooner than later.

Thank you Joshua, I am in the process of starting a website for my construction business and also my start up real-estate business. I have heard that the best way to drive traffic to your website is by blogging due to the fact that it raises your google search rating. I am extremely uncreative and would not know what to write about. How do you decide what to write about? How long do you think a blog should be? I am trying to decide how much time it would take to do it, I definitely appreciate your advice, you are clearly successful at internet marketing and anyone would be a fool not to listen to you when it comes to that.
