Hi @Ramesh Ramdatt, welcome to the BP community! It's always tough especially in the high priced neighborhoods, but I think you can still find good deals in Queens, or you try the Bronx it's much more reasonable.

Good luck!

I haven't been there, but my friends told me that it's highly competitive, and a lot of due diligence has to done on these properties. It is doable just make sure to come with a budget for each property, and never increase your bid more than your budget. To start I would suggest you should just pick 1-2 properties to bid on, so you don't get overwhelmed.

Good luck!

@Andrew Royster

I'm not sure where in NY you are, but in Brooklyn the only reason to become an agent is to have more options, like management. For a investor it's not really worth it, since most of the deals are off market.

Good luck!

Hi @Ross Hall, welcome to the BP community. There's lots of great information here, that would lead you to the right investing track for you. About renting for tenants is a very tough question, it's not made for everyone, but it all comes down to the screening process. Check out on the site, there's a lot of discussions about screening tenants.

Wishing you lots of success!

Hi @Steven Torres, welcome to the BP community. I don't know much about turnkey, except that it can be pretty risky, but if you need any help in the NY area, let me know. I believe you can start there too for little money, but you would need financing.

Good luck!

@Assaf Kehati

You would have to send a colleague request first.

@Assaf Kehati

I would suggest you should look into another market, since near prospect park is pretty expensive. I would consider Brownsville, East New York, Sheepshead Bay, etc.

Good luck!
