@Josh Caldwell is right, don't get a mentor just yet. 

If you want to wholesale get your basic systems set up. Burner phone for bandit sighns or flyers. 2 email addresses for your craigslist and zillow/trulia account. and some 3.5 cards for your lead generation system. start calling people and get comfortable on the phone. Ask question that make them feel uncomfortable like, Is that the lowest you will take? will you take what you owe on the house? and my favorite... If i paid all cash, closed on the day you wanted, and payed all the closing cost, what would be your cash price? You can listen to the red pill investor for more ideas. look up Karl Krentzel on this sight.

You just need to get started, the rest will come in to place as soon as you need it.

any idea HOW you want to invest? Wholesale, flip, fix and flip, flip and hold.... single family houses (sfr), or small apartments? are you using your own credit or do you want to create an llc and syndicate a deal?  just 3 questions with an infinite of possibility's. Happy investing.

reia.. Real rstate investment assosiatio. Most people get started with wholesaling or fliping houses. It just depends on which direction you want to go. One will work better than the other for you, just need to learn a little about them. Good luck!

i have 3 phone numbers as i started out 3 weeks ago. My personal cell phone to network, permanent number. A office number, land line to prospect with answering machine. And a burner phone for bandit flyers, prospecting, and anything else i dont want to get caught for.  Hope this helps.

I tried a google voice number and i had an investor call me back and greeted me with my first name. Cool but not what i wanted. I actually got a phone from Walmart and set it up on a "Fake" email address for all of my leads. The reason i picked Walmart is because the sign police cannot or will not trace it back to me as easily. I use it for my bandit signs and flyers.

PS. if you get a burner phone, get a smart phone. Flip phones cannot be used with mighty text... a $50 lesson yours for free!
