@Elliot Obeng for Dayton I’ve used Outside the Box Realty for PM and Christina Carey and @Darrin Carey ...I’ve also used Gold Coast Realty for PM and they do well.

@Elliot Obeng

I invest in Dayton and Cincinnati areas and know that both are great fits but u need to educate yourself a bit and make a decision that’s right for u. I would say that it’s fairly easy to find a property for $50K that rents for $800/mo.

The numbers must make sense

Hello everyone,

I would love to hear from others what sources they use to get capital to buy more deals (rentals or flips)? I know about getting a HELOC, mortgage, cash our refi, portfolio loans etc but what about personal loans through Lightstream & SoFi? I have used LendingClub & Prosper before but they charge too much...

I have heard you can get up to $100K personal loan through Lightstream for a longer period of time...anyone ever done this?

has anyone else ever used Lightstream?  Curious other experiences...seems like a good opportunity to take advantage of.  I would love to hear success stories, how much did u borrow/length of repayment period/interest rate....

I am curious if anyone has had success getting $100K personal loan...curious what criteria makes u worthy of that high since most personal loans dont go higher than $40K.

Chance, as a fellow military investor the biggest concern i have is education.  Educate yourself first & take action second.  Maybe you buy a property and live it in with roommates (others from your unit etc).  Having roommates can cut down on your costs and possibly enable you to live there for free (depending on how much rent you collect).  At the same time you then become the landlord which means ensuring things are fixed properly & promptly.

Using your VA loan you can buy up to a 4 unit bldg as long as you live in one unit, or you can buy a SFH and rent out rooms to people. Great way to get started. Another option is investing in another area you are familiar with (you mentioned near Tyndall AFB).

Jeff, have you tried calling a couple local Title companies in Spokane or calling the County Courthouse and asked some of those questions?
