Cameras for sure. I would look into getting a Blue Crush set up or Flock. Those are all over Memphis and have been helpful. The Blue Crush actually flash a blue light at night and can help deter.

Hi Les- That's not really Berclair, more like Highland Heights. It's really block by block over there. Some blocks are pretty nice and some not so much. Feel free to shoot me the address and I'll let you know. I own several in Berclair now and generally speaking east of Highland fetches much higher rents. 

Hi Brennen- A lot of people use Security National Mortgage (Aaron Chapman), Orion FCU locally, and also Pinnacle Bank are all pretty solid lenders that I see a lot of investors use here.

Hey Zack- Are you going to use a property manager? If so, it would be good to run the property you're interested in by them first. I am local here in Memphis and an investor myself.
