I haven't used REI Blackbook myself, but sounds good enough to me @Ryan Garrison

@Spence Kal Podio custom automations with GlobiFlow got out of hand.  Even when optimized, it wasn't able to automate my tasks consistently enough at scale.  As my company grew (because of the amount of automations I had) the system was starting to skip automations.  I wanted to build my own because I believe there's a gap in the market of companies who are able to do SMS marketing well.  This is compounded by the fact that carriers are now getting very good at filtering spam texts.  I'm able to get around the spam filters while many others are not.

@Josh Chapman Podio is great to prove out a proof of systems concept, but it doesn't scale well.  Happy you found something that will allow you to scale!  Update us with how you like it.

@Sean Wenderoth it all comes down to how your business is setup.  How do you do most of your prospecting/ marketing?  Answer that and then selecting a CRM to match is easy.

I'm an ex software developer for Boeing.  I used Podio for about 2 years with my own custom automations.  What @Calvin Ozanick said about your CRM not mattering is partly true.  What matters most to closing deals is that you are consistent, hustle and stay organized.  However, the quantity of deals closed is throttled by your organization, even if you have all of the hustle and consistency in the world.

This is where CRMs come into play.  They allow you to widen the bottleneck that is a consequence of your own human organization abilities.  So I would argue that to be a full time investor or agent, CRMs are unimportant.  But to be a highly successful one, it is extremely important.

I couldn't find one that did everything I wanted on a national scale, so I created one.  It automates text and mail campaigns with a sleek and simple user interface.  If you want to learn more about it, shoot me a message.  Not here to pitch my product (it's in beta with me alone).  I just like talking systems and software.

@Ash Fields no love on this post yet!

I use Podio currently, but am days away from finishing one I’ve spent the last 18 months developing myself. Podio is a great simple cheap CRM to stay organized and allow you to tinker with automating workflows.

@Kat Hussey message me if you want a more straightforward way to run numbers. Most calculators have confusing printouts

@John Mucilli I also responded on another thread of yours. I’ve built my new CRM around mail and SMS marketing since those things (unlike cold calling) have the ability with today’s technology to be fully automated.

@John Mucilli I put out a tutorial showing how to automate sending mail campaigns from Podio by utilizing Lob.com and Zapier. I am an ex software developer. I use Podio for now, but am actually days away from moving into my own ground up built custom CRM for a beta test (18 months in the making).

@Howard Scarrott

cobras.io I like it because it calculates profit real time so you can see how changes in financing etc. affect profit. The printout is easy to follow too.
