I'm InterNACHI-certified, so I love all their inspector tools. Their certified inspectors are all available at InspectorSeek.com , searchable by location.

I don't know about the deal in TX, but in NC a home inspector and a termite inspector are two separate deals. But maybe look on InspectorSeek.com and see if any home inspectors in TX can do both for you.

@AdamCousley Welcome, and I'd love to talk about inspections and investing anytime in the next few weeks. How does Monday look?

I'd love to help but different state. Check out InspectorSeek.com to find an InterNACHI-certified inspector in your local area.

Yeah, I didn't mean any blame fell on the inspector, just that it's something everyone has to watch out for.

I just searched the NC statutes for a client and found a nice succinct summary at the Depmt. of Justice webpage.

Nolan,

I went through this process a year and a half ago, and I would highly recommend AHIT. Their training for the 200-hour North Carolina class was around $3000 in spring 2014, much better than what you have listed (though it is hard to read). I also have some other tips and tricks I'd be happy to give you, and you should definitely go after joining InterNACHI. Let's talk if you have more questions about up-front costs in your field.

Not cool at all. As inspectors, we try to find out about the situation before agreeing to a job like that. I hate for clients to lose money. Thank you for sharing.

@ShaunPalmer I love the market here, but as one agent says it's really a bunch of micro-markets. North Raleigh's prices are very different than East Raleigh, which are both very different from inside the beltline (ITB). Being here and having a feel for your own micro-market can't be underestimated.
