Yes it was there prior. Thanks

The owner of the unit that has the leak that caused the damage. It is as is but this was damage from another unit and the leak is active.

If I live on the first floor and I have water damage from a shower drain pipe in the condo unit above me who is responsible the unit owner above or the HOA? Thx

I clearly stated I bought at the auction. If you are familiar with the auctions you wouldn’t even have had to waste your time writing that. Thx

I bought a condo at the auction that has water damage and mold in excess of 15k to repair. I called the management company and they blamed it on a recent leak from the 3rd floor, I am on the 1st. I saw the work order and it seemed like a small leak from the 3rd floor and not what damaged my unit. It also has mold so It is too recent to be the source of damage. How can I find the water source that damaged my apartment? Thx

It caused a ton of water damage and mold totaling 15k. I am trying to contact them now and hope they have liability insurance. I just want to be prepared if they don’t and I have to take them to court.

If a condo unit owner had a water leak that damaged my unit how do I take them to court? Can I do it myself to save on a attorney? If not how much approx would a attorney cost for this? Thanks

Bought a 1st floor unit in FL at the auction and there is massive mold and water damage from a water leak from a 3rd floor unit. The management company left me a message saying I should contact my insurance company. I just got certificate of title a few days ago and do not have insurance. Isn’t this the HOAs responsibly or unit owner on 3rd floor not my insurance? Thanks
