Thats how I got started in the Clintonville area. I would suggest a smaller duplex to start with, rent by the room is good if you are priced out of the majority of duplexes but to start, I would suggest buying one in a decent area and get a roommate or 2 on your half of the property @Jake Hughes

ERA and Ohio Elite are a few I refer out in Columbus @Andrew J.

Columbus and Cincinnati will be more expensive than Cleveland or Dayton. So just depends if you want more cashflow/ a higher growth market @Nicole Blankenship

What area of the city is it in? Some will manage certain parts while others won't @John Flisher

Make sure to get a thorough inspection on properties in Newark. There is money going into the city but a lot of the properties in that area can have a good amount of deferred maintenance. Overall it is still affordable and makes sense. @Weston Hunter
