Not uncommon to see homes in my market with a built date starting from 1880's. Just require more analysis of the skeleton of the property and an in-depth inspection. These can pose to potentially have of problems but a lot of investors in my area are still purchasing such properties, probably by expertise in knowing what to expect in older homes.

Either way, i would pay attention more attention to products built in the 1920's than those built in the 1990's etc. I personally don't have a specific time frame but i'm excited to see other replies.

@Tiffany Milan I would say...I just had enough understanding for every platform I stepped on, then I began right back into an area of unknown. I remember i day I closed on my first property, in one of the following afternoons I sat in the vacant, needing to be renovated, upper unit of the duplex for about 45 minutes asking myself what the hell am I doing. Then you just learn and continue!
