Another option is perhaps less attractive but if the money is added to your account over a couple of months and for a couple of months, you wouldn’t have to explain where it came from.

You have to start somewhere. As Rick Pozos mentioned, you would need a larger amount to go into larger projects. The lending side has so many opportunities for investors, depending on their goals, amount of capital, time, etc.

@thawda aung, I don’t see why not. You state your first loan was a conventional loan. Just because you intended to house hack doesn’t mean you have to under conventional loan rules. You would have to live in the second property if you get an fha loan. I see you are in Texas - Contact @andrew Postell for help - he’s my lender and does a great job at explaining things.

@Ray Minjarez I always recommend Andrew Postell. He's on BP. He isn't local (he's in Fort Worth) but I've done all my loans through him because he has the heart of a teacher and is patient with me when I ask lots of questions.

Anthony Finger My go-to lender is Andrew Postell with Gateway Mortgage. He takes the time to explain the intricacies of different loan options and doesn’t seem to tire from all my questions. He is professional and responsive. He is located in Fort Worth.
