I'm looking to move to Michigan within the next year. I'm interested in tapping into the rental market. What are best cities to buy a rental property.

I'm looking at Midland, Grand rapids, Ann arbor, Kalamazoo and Lansing.

I have 2 buying criteria

1. Either a buy a single family for max $120000

2. A buy a duplex or tri Plex max $250000

Any suggestions

I'm thinking of moving to Midland from Florida. I would like to get into rentals. Either regular rental or to students. What is the market like there for rentals. Has anyone run into alot of evictions or bad experiences renting to college students in that area
