Steve,

Thanks for understanding the HELOC issue. We have had our wake up call but i don't want to slip and backtrack. We are commited to achieving Financial Freedom and will do everything to get there. Step one is seriously reduce spending and tackle our debt head on. Any pointers will be welcomed

Jack,

Once I looked our monthly expenditures i realized that between lunch and dinners we were spending over$1100/month. That is now going directly into repaying our debt and i'm enjoying our dinners at home and my bag lunches and the coffee i know brew at work. It somehow tastes better when you know how much "fat" you are cutting out of your life.

Regarding the house I proposed moving to my wife and renting a smaller place but that was a non-starter.

I wish i could sell the cars but they are leased, i will be looking later this week what it will take to get out of the leases.

Michael,

I admit that is a worry. Three years ago we had zero credit card debt and look where we are now. I feel like even if it costs more I don't want use my home as an ATM and risk overextending ourselves again. My mind understands that it is the right financial play and once i have the debt cut in half and our new financial lifestyle entrenched i will probably consider it.

Mary,

Your story is one that I hope I get to tell one day about myself. I have been reading or listening to at least one book on relevant issues to investing and creating wealth a week (thanks again for that Scott Trench) and Dave Ramsey has just been bumped to next weeks book because of you. I will be getting rid of my lease if possible thanks to every bodies advice. You all have already made me money!!!

Andrey,

Thanks for the honesty. We have started to seriously curb our unnecessary spending that we used to spend on ridiculous things.

Jimmy,

Thanks for the kind words. I would love to flip a property with an investor (which i believe i could find) but what would I contribute to the flip?

Scott,

Your book was a turning point for me and makes me wish i had a Delorean and a flux capacitor so i could go back and follow your plan step by step 20 years ago. Either way thank you for the inspiration and more importantly the plan.

Ralph R,

I appreciate your insight and the fact that you shared real details from your life. I like your idea of focusing on the goal not the plan. I feel like it's been my nature to always focus on a plan and not the goal and I am going to work hard to change that about myself. Could you expand more on out of the box thinking?

Matthew,

The wake up was shocking but having a plan in place goes a long way to calm my mind. Talking to people like you will help me stay the course.
