@Charles A.

I am the epitome of everything that you included in your definition of "Income Trap" right down to the two kids. I have started reading or listening to one book on a Investment/Real estate/Debt every week (some weeks 2 books as i love to learn) and Capital is now on my list of books.

From now on I will add to my weekly updates books that i have read and who has suggested them. Thank you

@Jon Q.

Your words ring so true in my ear. Everything that you mapped out is the path that i am hoping to follow. Recently my eyes have been opened to the truth of your words. I will be reading the Millionaire Next Door as you suggest. Thank you.

@Adam Widdicombe

I have reached out to my leasing company (Toyota Financial Services) and they do allow lease transfers so I will try that route before i pay a buyout of the lease. Thanks, much appreciated. This community keeps pointing me in a good direction.

Everyone,

I haven't had a chance to go over all my numbers regarding expenses yet. I will be doing that over the weekend and posting everything.

I will be completely transparent about every dollar that i spend, my credit score (610), my exact debt and progress that i am making on paying down the debt in real time.

I intend to post all the numbers weekly and follow any reasonable advice that people give me. I don't have the answers just a plan but as my father used to say "people make plans and God laughs" so the plan is open to change if there is a better way that anyone suggests.

I am done pretending that i have "made it" when the truth is that i am far away from "it"

The day will come that we will be debt free and cash flowing in a positive way and i will have all of you to thank.

@Paul B.

I feel like you get me (wife wise). When we decided to buy a house instead of spending $600k in an upscale Chicago neighborhood we chose to spend half in a middle class neighborhood. We love the house and intend to stay in it for the long term.

@Mike Cumbie,

I agree and will follow your advice. Relationship building is something that i am good at and enjoy doing.

@marcinkuczynski I will learn to get out of debt from resources like Dave Ramsey and learn about investments on BP so once i am out of debt i can start building my future. If i have patience with step one (credit elimination) i should be able to start studying and learning about step two (investment). If i am thinking about this incorrectly please adjust my thinking.

@Roshan K. All autopays have been cancelled and it's amazing how many of those we had that were sucking us dry.
