Anyone in Columbus/Dublin, OH area
Hi Edo,
I sent you a college request and love the talking about the Columbus market! I hope that we can connect soon.
Eco,
Just joined in November, no deals yet but I am in the Columbus market too. Seems to be a no meet ups for bigger pockets members in Columbus. Something I hope to get going this year.
Todd
I'm new to the industry and also looking for like minded individuals in my area. I want to connect with anyone to share and receive knowledge.
I've been flipping in the Columbus area for 10 years. I was fortunate enough to get started when the low hanging fruit(mls REO's) was plentiful. It's a whole different ball game now and I would caution anyone who thinks they're ready to jump in to take some time and think about strategy. I know every podcast and webinar says to take action, but that's easy to say with someone else's money.
It can and is being done in this market, but you better identify the hurdles and figure out how to get past them.

Matt hit the nail on the head here. Anything on the MLS is going to be very slim margins. Even wholesalers know inventory is low and raising prices.
I imagine it is going to be difficult finding deals for anyone new who doesn’t already have an infrastructure for finding off market deals.
My dad @Tony McCleery is new to biggerpockets and has a lot of experience with contracting work, flipping homes, estimating rehab costs, etc.
@Edo Tinjak I am just getting started investing in long term buy and holds, but do have some friends and family who are flipping and rehabing. I am always interested in getting together for coffee and just talking real estate. Feel free to reach out and we can discuss further.
