Hi Brooks! I live in Raleigh as well -- haven't bought any investment properties yet, but hoping to soon! For now I rent out my home while I'm out of town on Airbnb.com for short-term rental and I'm hoping to do more of that soon! Whereabouts is your duplex/quad?

Thanks Bryan, these two properties are doing reasonably well I think. I've come to BP to look for ways to increase my participation in the local RE market. Like you, I have been looking for additional properties for a while now and ours is a difficult market.

Hi Carlee, my duplex is near downtown in the Five Points area and the quad is in SW Raleigh near Crossroads shopping center. How is your landlording experience been so far?

Welcome! We love our investments in Raleigh (started looking there in 2007). I know there is an active investment club there as others have mentioned it on here, might be a good place to network if you don't attend already. I agree deals are much tougher to find in Raleigh these days. We're focusing closer to home right now, but plan to invest more in Raleigh in the next few years.
