STR in Tennessee

We are interested in possibly investing STR in Tennessee. Can you send me your thoughts on which cities you think are best for STRs.

 It all depends on what sort of deal you are thinking.  Vacation rental?  The Gatlinburg area for sure.

Tennessee is a great place.  I have clients that just built a unit there and it is doing great.  Theirs is in Sevierville TN.  Just a thought to take a look at.

Hey @Jacqueline Vasquez, I think everyone said it best.

It is hard to go wrong with the Gaitlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Seiverville areas.

Wears Valley as an extension. Crosby as well (from what I have read).

Prices are still quite high so you have to buy right and in the right area in order to stay profitable.

The Great Smoky Mountains! My husband and I have four there, we love it in The Smokies. I work with The Short Term Shop and they specialize in helping investors purchase and learn to run and manage their str's.

Depends on your budget. Norris Lake is proving to be a great market. Townsend TN is doing well. Smoky Mountains like Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge is just too competitive and expensive for most to do well there. Areas around Chattanooga are doing very well also from what I know.

Check around the Chattanooga area. Within the city can be a challenge, but surrounding areas within an hour have a lot of potential.
