Please join us on Sat May 31st where our guest speaker will discuss "how to find an investor friendly general contractor."
Our speaker will be Matt Anderson, owner of Two Lions Contractors. Matt has 18 years of GC experience and commercial property management. He also served for the US Army where he managed local and national contractors in Afghanistan and oversaw millions of dollars in contracts.
Matt will be discussing how to build that partnership and foundation of trust with your contractor to ensure your projects stay on task.
The schedule for the meetup will be:
9:00am : network with fellow REI
9:15am - 9:45am : Speaker - Matt Anderson
9:45am - 10am : Q&A
10am : Network again
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to PM me or you can ask within this thread, also please RSVP on this thread. As always, coffee & snacks will be free.
Thank you!

Ummmm...
@Arnie Guida , no Matt will not be pitching his services.
As with our other speakers, he is an expert in the field. He will be discussing how to find a good general contractor and what questions to ask.
The committee felt that this would be a great subject because some of our members have had a difficult time with finding good reliable contractors.
He is no different than the mortgage broker or portfolio lenders we brought in previously. They are experts in the field and they are here to teach. That is all.
As I have said in previous posts, the mission of our group is to bring in experts of the field to come in and teach, to help us grow as investors. And the only way to bring in experts, is to bring in people that are either in the business or own a business, but they know that they are not there to pitch their services but to help grow the group.
" the mission of our group is to bring in experts
of the field to come in and teach, to help us
grow as investors " Nicole has done excellent
job and kept true to her philosophy for this group.
If anyone needs a contractor that does electrical, plumbing, flooring, painting, windows, siding, and roofing, I will be there and can provide information for a good contact I've used on a lot of projects in the Milwaukee area. However I won't be actively pitching that company at the meeting.
Correct, Matt will not be pitching his company, rather he will be giving tips to us on how to find good contractors, and what contractors look for in a good investor. He just happens to own his own company.
I will be there.
looking forward to seeing you @Nate Maier
Looking forward to this one.
I really wish I had been able to attend, but I was unable due to a health issue.
If anyone needs a contractor referral for the Milwaukee area, you are able to PM me and I will send it over.
@Nicole Pettis thanks for putting this together. My wife & I unfortunately were not able to attend but are looking forward to the next one. When is the next one? Do you guys usually get together at the end of the month? Thanks!
@Richard F. Totally understand. I wasn't able to make it myself. Its just a busy time of year for everyone. Our meetups are always on the last Saturday of the month. Also, I list the event a week before in Real estate events and happenings and with the new blog set up, you can subscribe to the feed:)
Hope this helps! Have a great day!
