We did use Minut, which does detect tobacco and now marijuana. 

There is another product that you can get in an aerosol can that also treats odors.

These were the same tactics that the big tobacco companies used in the mid to late 1900's.

Even if it was weed (and the way you speak about it I would think it was only tobacco) I can't see the issue.

Smoking is considered cigarettes, cigars, pipes, hookahs, water pipes, vapes, e-cigarettes, and any other like instrument that produces smoke or vapor, regardless of whether tobacco or other consumables are used.

It's not toxic and is very effective at neutralizing tobacco smoke odor. 

Abating the odor (tobacco and Marijuana) is costly and time consuming. 

I collect tobacco cards so I am familiar (my first few rentals were partially paid for VIA my sports card wholesaling business).
