If you have nothing, and make nothing, you declare bankruptcy, wreck your credit and try to go back to renting.

At least a lot better than the path I chose to take. 

Second, most tenants are lucky they can dress themselves in the morning, much less paint walls without destroying the floors, ceiling and trimwork.

@Will Greenlee there is no perfect PM software, unfortunately.We use one of the most flexible, but it has a long learning curve and we'd still like to see many improvements.

@Antoine Black  In general, yes, it goes off your personal credit.
