Like any state or federal government, something happens and they swing way to far in the other direction,I applied for licensing in california and they will not accept federal fingerprints.

Flat paint looks great but shows every fingerprint and dirt.

Wood Floors not sealed, tile not properly installed and grouted, cheap flat paint that the tenants can't wipe finger prints or food splashes off, countertops not caulked so water gets behind causing water damages, the cabinets were painted over not replaced the list goes on and on.

A window of time to present yourself, get processed, finger printed, all info set.

As to background and fingerprints, I have no objections at all.

Your lower level GCs can be just anybody, not the creme de la creme that they are in Cali, they're even fingerprinted and background checked with the FBI.

You still must pay for your own principal certificate, books, crash course, state exam, state application fee, fingerprint fee, and any other fee needed.
