Hi @Sabrina Dagostino, I'm based in Southern California, but I have started my out-of-state real estate journey in Indianapolis.

Almost 9,000 transactions in a half dozen southern States has certainly seasoned me as an investor, but what really makes me smarter today compared to back then is I listen to a lot more varied opinions.  

Here's what I've found so far:-AirBnB generally leans politically left (relevant in this case)-AirBnB has banned a conservative Canadian political commentator, Lauren Southern from the platform-Sometime today or yesterday, AirBnB sent a notice to the family members of Lauren Southern, notifying them that they are banned from the platform for being related to herGeneral attitude is that it is becoming somewhat Orwellian and consumers of all political leanings are uncomfortable with the actions that AirBnB has taken in this case.

Last week, PayPal announced a partnership with the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center to “investigate” the role of “white supremacists” and propagators of “anti-government” rhetoric, subjective labels that potentially could impact a large number of groups or people using their service.

For many years, I worked in the real estate industry and managed a very large residential firm in southern CA and worked closely with several of the highest producing agents in our market at the time.

So it seems like Vegas has certainly figured out a solution that is more long term and AZ is taking steps to mitigate water shortages in the future by reliance on other sources than the CO river, but southern CA may have a real issue unless farms there significantly reduce their consumption in order to favor residential use over agricultural.

I also have a very southern accent, so I believe there's a chance they think they're dealing with someone who isn't intelligent or a person who doesn't understand math and numbers, so maybe they think they can get one over on me, who knows the true reasoning behind their statement.

I'd double check the marketability of the computer information systems, I have a granddaughter with that degree, and jobs are very difficult to find; even though she lives in a tech center in southern CA. 

My employer is building out in Southern Idaho, so I have been watching those prices and that scary high inventory level.

They also threw in an eight day Caribbean cruise right before Christmas.
