Hello @Christina Gazeley @Scott Glener @Nathan Sprenger  I'm a new investor in the San Francisco Bay Area and am considering investing out of state, namely in Tucson right now due to having my brother there as "boots on the ground".

Also, 3 of my brothers are in the construction.

To be brief, I needed my brother to co-sign on the mortgage for me because I had changed jobs frequently the past few years.

My brother just picked up a house in Sand Springs that was recently flooded by our record smashing rain fall this year (100 year flood plain got hit) he will have around 50k total in it and could make a 100k profit if he were to sell it. 

Hi @Dawn Anastasi ...hahaha, that is funny, because my brother recently decided to stay the winter in Alaska after working for the summer.

Based on this post and your other post about renting to your brother, I honestly believe you would be better off hiring a Property Manager to handle your units.
