Although I haven't kept up with new techniques or products, here's some food for thought-The winter/summer freeze/thaw cycles are a major problem (I am talking about in-ground, concrete, permanent pools).

I try and make it there once a year to soak in the culture and eat the food!

The only large corporations that seem to be within close driving distance would be some lower end grocery stores, and fast food restaurants.
