Hey!

Anyone familiar with the Canadian income properties ins and outs? I have an investment group with Canadian members and we are thinking about buying up there. Any brains I could pick would be very appreciated. Thank you everyone!

HI @Shawn C.

I see you're inserted in investing in my neighbourhood. The good point about Montreal is, it's one of the least expensive major cities in canada, lots of major construction right now so you can find something in an emerging area. Bad points are, the ratio are not that good especially in the nice area (15-20x gross income) plus you have to be really selective with your tenants because they are king (pro-tenant). You can still find better ratio in the suburbs or near secondary cities around the province, just be careful and do your research on local economy before.

If I can be of any help, just let me know.

Good luck

Olivier
