I’m looking to do an investment using retirement funds and I’ve read a lot about the solo 401k and the self directed IRA.

So I’m looking for some suggestions on how to get around this obstacle I have seen programs that will do this research but with all the reading I have done so far on bigger pockets I’m getting the feeling not to buy it until I ask.

So, I'm very interested in prospect of using a portion of my net worth to invest in real estate now before this opportunity is lost (i.e. from not being able to get a mortgage, or at least as good of one, post-quitting)*.So, I'm looking to try to acquire my first rental property during the week of 7/3-7/10 - which is when I'll be in the area I'm looking to invest in, and be living long-term starting in August (aside from traveling 90% of the year).I've watched a handful of YT videos and read some blogs on real estate investing in the last day, but I'm looking for any quick advice that might make a big difference.

I’ve been listening to biggerpockets podcast, reading book, blogs and I would really like to get started... don’t really have a lot of money. 

If it is a note and not the fund, is it performing or non-performingIf it is the fund then you need to read the operating agreement and any private placement memorandum etc about the risks etcHave you asked them for referrals ?

From reading on this forum, though, it seems pretty commonplace to not use a bookkeeper, with many investors using their own system(s) for tracking this information.
