Items go on the curb, the landlord is NOT required to store anything (except prescription medicine or prescription medical equipment which must be held 7 days from the date of discovery).

Preventing the sig other from removing the property doesn't quite fit this element, as the the Landlord is simply trying to establish ownership rights for items that he could conceivably be responsible for; since they are residing within his/her property.
