In Texas. Ready to Dive In: 10 Year Timeline

Hello All,

I finally decided to introduce myself, although having paid for membership a little over a month.  I am late 40s and tired of depending on others for a paycheck or no paycheck. I have set a goal line that in 10 years I have enough cash flowing properties providing an income that will support my dream to RV travel all over the USA.

I am a newbie with no experience in real estate deals with only the home in Dallas Texas I live in as the only real estate asset I own or still owe on.

I am ready to start with multi-family and do a house hack in Houston because I am working there every other week and would like a place to stay that is mine instead of borrowing a friend's RV like I have been doing.

I have been saving the podcasts from the first one and have been listening to them on my 4 hour drives to and from Houston, and my commutes to work.  I find multi-family is where I definitely want to start, preferably duplex up to a quad plex to start.

I could use help and mentoring to get me started because to be honest I do not know exactly where to start.

My hope is to not only reach my goal, but to become as experienced as others here and pay it forward by finding others like me to help someday.

Look forward to interacting with others, networking, making new friends and finding financial freedom.

Thanks,

Victor
