If I don't get a phone call for the lock box combo (who doesn't want to see the inside once they get there??)

I was supposed to fly back to California today but am afraid to leave for fear she may change the locks and evict me from my own place.

I haven't been able to use the system because I am "locked" out of the app, and the owner will not communicate.

Additionally, I lived down the street from an elementary school for several years, when the school was in lock down, I was not able to reach my house until the lockdown was lifted. 

And I am stuck paying for a place I don't live in if it doesn't work out because I signed a long enough agreement to lock me in?

1 Year construction loan locked in at a 5.5% interest.

I do have regulated locked thermostats so I know there is no- over use

It needs major rehab anyway so the water amd electric split would be the major expense.i plan to rent the upstairs LTR, and possibly STR the downstairs plus use it myself when I am in town (it is near my inlaws).Question: Is it worth the investment in turning it into a true duplex, or should I just include utilities in the LTR rent and leave it as is with a solid locked door between the up and down?

I’ve locked it up for $39k and tax assessment is $55k.
