Generally, I would say you can eventually handle your own eviction at the magistrate level and wait until it ends up in the Court of Common Pleas to engage counsel. 

Anything I can do to learn more while sharing my knowledge I'm happy to engage.

You should be able to do an action yourself with out without a lawyer, research the process within your state statues, download the proper court forms from your county court should be able to get online,, and go down to the court house, sit thru a housing court eviction session so your familiar with what happens.

Now, we would like to make more prudent purchases as we become more engaged in real estate investing.

So, the LLC (land and first cash injection) could be responsible for the visioning session, the marketing package etc.  

At some point a newbie has to roll up their sleeves and find out for themselves, simply by being driven and resourceful and engaged.

Personally, until it is sorted out at the federal level (and it took a big step backwards with Jeff Sessions as the AG - look up his opinion on marijuana), I wouldn't risk getting involved at any level.
