If you were buying a franchise, for example a subway, I don't think it would be a good idea to take advice from the local deli owners.  

If you can't afford to commit to a marketing plan that will require a decent amount of money(but well worth it obviously) then you need to knock and worry about postcards later.sorry for the long post, I was taking a break and eating some subway LOL!!
