It used to be you could build for $100/sqft on flat land and about $200-300/sqft on a slope...but inflation and also skyrocketing prices in the Bay Area have doubled/tripled that. 

I live in the SF Bay Area and would like to get into real estate investing for cash flow, and am targeting Indianapolis.

I am in the north bay as well.

There is also one in the Bay Area, I have never been to that one.

I owned a Cape Cod in Bay View, just over 1,000 sq. ft..

So far I've lived in NYC, the SF bay area, LA, Atlanta and Chicago and I'm currently based in Northern NJ. 

That being said, I frequently look for property in the Freeport/Brunswick/Harpswell area.....actually anything around Casco Bay.
