Cost of Roof - Milwaukee

Hey BP Fam!

Looking at a SFH in Milwaukee that has a ~20 year old roof. 1080 SQF Cape Cod. Any very rough estimates for a roof? I'll find a contractor soon but want to get a rough idea of numbers before moving forward. Haven't had to deal with a roof yet in my other properties :)

Roof's are based off of squares, 1 square equals 100 sqft.  In my area, roof bids are usually around $300-320 per square.  You need to measure the size of the roof, not the inside of the house to get an estimate.  If i had to guess, i would say you are probably paying around 4k.  Smaller jobs typically charge more per square.  I would imagine our areas should be relatively close in cost of living and cost per house.
