We renovated the entire home with plumbing and electrical work.

Other items to look at include: hot water heater, plumbing, electrical, roof, siding, and the sub floor (look for soft spots).Hope that helps! 

Long term goal is to create enough passive income to get out of the rat race, however, the home was built in the 50’s and has been giving me a lot of maintenance issues recently (HVAC, plumbing, etc).

In general, make sure everything works (fixtures, appliances, plumbing, etc.) and everything is clean, and everything is safe.

We had to add a shower head as the plumbing only had a wand and tub spout.

Just look at the amount of laws and regulations they have.

Maybe some slumlords have not yet been involved with municiple regulators about property conditions, but eventually they will.

Not sure what that even means so I'll need to do some homework.Rehabbing: I have done a lot of plumbing for others rehabbing.

The idea will be to discuss local and national laws, regulations and guidelines that impact investors.

But you can work around anything if you have enough money.There could be other problems to overcome with older houses related to plumbing and electric.
