I am looking to make new connections and network.

There will be a few key players that would appreciate a good flow of 'quality' land opportunities. 

Two lenders who provide construction debt may offer the same rate and origination fee but one may be better in for-sale scenarios and the other for opportunities where the intent is to hold long term.

Can't remember what this position is named, but maybe while working for the big places, you could also park in a smaller place and be that person at the same time.Start attending conferences and building your network of friends, family, and third party investors while you're doing your year.
