GP Advice? Maintaining Communication With Passive Partners (When NOT in a deal)

Hello BP,

Just curious to hear how other GPs keep LPs in the loop when they are looking for deals/do not have any opportunities currently available for them? I know some like to do newsletters/mailing lists but I was curious if anyone does anything more creative/personal than this? Instead of just blurting out random industry insights and sending those out to all of them. Perhaps giving them a ring to do a casual catch up every fortnight or so?

We have a few partners that we had dinner with December last year and have not had anything that is a good fit for them just yet-- we are actually interviewing other appropriate GPs to partner with before approaching them, especially seeing as the deals of this scale are quite large (MF). We don't want to approach them out of the blue when we do find something so would please love advice on how others maintain these relationships to make sure that they are kept in the loop?

If there are any other GPs/operators out there reading this that have faced similar struggles, please share!

Many thanks and happy Wednesday,

A
