I run one in the Oak Park/Berwyn area, but there are many depending on where you want to land. 

At our peak we were up to 22 doors. 

The numbers aren't as attractive in the long run.

We currently own 80 doors with another 119 doors set to close in the coming months.

House hacking is tough to cashflow in year one (with current house price run-ups and interest rates) for a couple reasons:1.

Hi Jaron,I won't know until I find out what the total costs are from the city to build (permits, school fees, impact fees, required improvements etc.) and the cost to run utilities.

Hi Sean,If you think it's a property you wouldn't want to keep in the long run, it's a good idea to move onto something else.

Obviously there are people that must feel different, but driving thru some of the neighborhoods around Hampton and Sylvan this week, I just think to myself would I buy a 500k-600-900K house in a neighborhood where next door the backyard is full of pitbulls, the house is about to fall over, there at six cars parked in the yard and street.
