Taking wifey to Auto Expo at convention center tonite.

My move-out date was supposed to be the end of this month, but when I returned to the old apartment to pick up another load of stuff to move to the new one, I found the locks changed and a pile of broken and discarded belongings in bags on the side of the house.

Wifey and I were walking out of the gorgeous Denver Convention Center last night after viewing the Auto Expo.

Overall they did a pretty ok job with the house including putting in very nice mid-grade kitchen cabinets but what struck me was that they cut corners on the counter top by going with a the stock/low end Big Box Formica counter that was noticeably seamed (with a gap) right down the center of the sink.They were asking top dollar for the house and upon seeing the counter it was an immediate turn off.

Just got some much needed sleep after two packed days at the convention center with many of you.

Most would think of a multifamily investor as someone who owns apartment properties.My sense is that almost everyone here is involved in residential housing, either SFR or MFR, not commercial (hotel, office, shopping centers, warehouses, etc.).

H clips are used for 1/2 inch plywood where rafters (or trusses) are 24" on center, but its not a requirement here.

My main concern is that the interior slab of the house has bowed up in the middle of the house maybe 1/2"-1" causing cracks in drywall throughout the center of the house.
